Elk Creek Maintenance and Repair

My name is Chris Gordon.  I have lived in Colorado since the late 90's.  I am a husband and father of two.  My wife, son, daughter and I live in Pine Colorado with our dog, 2 cats and 40+ chickens, turkeys, and ducks.   â€‹

I love the outdoors and hike with my dog at Staunton State park most days.   I also really enjoy raising chickens and other birds primarily for their eggs.

My favorite activity by far is using tools and working on things.   I have been a mechanic of cars, trucks and trains for over 20 years.  I'm also an avid woodworker building everything from furniture to chicken coops!

I have a wide background spanning numerous trades.   I started my career as a Mercedes Benz Mechanic over 20 years ago.   I then went to work for RTD light rail as an Electro-Mechanic.  I performed repair and maintenance along with body and paint repairs.

After 10 years as a mechanic I became a Light Rail Maintenance Instructor.   I created all sorts of maintenance related material and taught classes to the mechanics and other personal.

While working on trains for 13 years I also continued to work on cars and trucks on the side.  I purchased and installed a 2 post lift in my garage allowing me to perform most automotive repairs in my garage.

During my professional career as a mechanic I also starting woodworking and handyman/home remodeling.  I became introduced to home maintenance and repair after my wife and I purchased a derelict home we then remodeled and lived in. We also purchased, remodeled then rented condos.

Owning, maintaining and upgrading a neglected older home along with being a landlord for 10+ years of multiple properties positioned me well to start a handyman business.  In the Fall of 2021 I started Elk Creek Maintenance and Repair, a mountain handyman business.  Having moved to Pine a year earlier I fell in love with the area and no longer wanted to travel to Denver for work.

Elk Creek Maintenance and Repair is a Mountain Handyman business serving the 285 corridor (conifer, pine, bailey) along with Evergreen and surrounding areas (genese, kittridge, ideldale).    I focus mainly on home maintenance and repair.  Given my background I'm also capable of quite a bit more.  Check out the gallery to see more pictures of past projects.
